About Companions to Caretakers
Companions to Caretakers is a family-owned rescue dedicated to transforming second chances into lifelong purpose. We rescue and rehabilitate young dogs and puppies, guiding them through an intensive 8-week obedience training program designed to develop the skills, discipline, and temperament needed to become service animals.
Each dog that successfully completes the program is given a new beginning and is matched with families in need of a loyal, trained companion who can make a meaningful difference in their daily lives through our service animal adoption initiative.
Beyond our rescue mission, we also offer professional dog training services to the public, helping pet owners build stronger bonds and unlock the full potential of their furry family members.

The Pack
Atlas, Rue, and Kora are the three incredible dogs I’ve been truly blessed to call my own. Each one carries a unique personality and a set of qualities that have helped shape my understanding of what it takes to become a dependable, high-quality service animal.

Together, we’ve faced obstacles, learned patience, and celebrated growth—gaining wisdom and strength with every accomplishment along the way. Companions to Caretakers is committed to providing exceptional obedience and service training in order for young dogs and puppies to gain a second chance at Life with a purpose. Successful completion of our program will then allow them a forever home with the ability to be a companion and caretaker for a human in need.
